Pink Shirt Day, February 28th
This years’ Pink Shirt Day’s main theme is cyberbullying. The day is meant to focus on encouraging others to combat cyberbullying by thinking twice before posting something negative, and instead using the internet to spread kindness.
Show your support by joining us at the Burnaby Campus Library on Wednesday, February 28th.
All events are located on the main floor and are FREE to everyone.

Join Kelsey Merkley as she interviews and facilitates a conversation with a few of the UnCommon Women (Kory Wilson, Surita Jhangiani, Gwen Bird, and Rosie Redfield) in the lower mainland, BC.
Open Education Week: Open in Action
Join faculty, staff and students at KPU Richmond Campus- Melville Centre for Dialogue to celebrate the Open Education Movement in BC. This event will include presentations from open advocates at various Institutions who will discuss their projects in detail and share how they have put open education into action. We are very pleased to welcome the BC Federation of Students to start the morning with all of us, as they will highlight the advocacy work they are engaged in from both an institutional perspective as well as governmental. The day will follow with presentations, lightning sessions, and hands on activities.

I always like to help others. Also, in this term I feel that I have more time to be a Peer Tutor.

I relearn the previous courses that I have taken. It also improves my leadership skills.

To be able to manage your time properly.

Titles to talk about….
The BCIT Any Book Book Club met for the first time at the Burnaby Campus Library on February 1st.
Everyone who showed up brought at least one title they wanted to talk about, and great conversations ensued about those books, their authors, related books, related topics and the best local second hand bookstores.
Titles discussed ranged from classic literature, to historical fiction, satire, biography, memoir and more. They were books we’ve read, books we are currently reading and even books we plan to read very soon.
