BCIT Library book display honouring Indigenous authors!
Feel free to borrow a book from the display or our collection. When choosing a book look for the Indigenous author and Indigenous content stickers on the books.

June 21, 2026 will be the 30th Anniversary of National Indigenous People’s Day held on summer solstice each year. It is a time to recognize and celebrate the traditions, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. In addition to books (and E-books) the BCIT Library has many great resources to help you on your learning journey. Check our the Indigenous Studies & Resources to get started.
Learn, reflect and engage
Foundations of Truth & Reconciliation is a new resource currently being piloted by the BCIT library in Spring 2026. The resource features short videos and learning modules that include key takeaways and discussion questions to support learning and reflection.
To encourage meaningful engagement and facilitate its use in classroom settings, access is currently limited to BCIT faculty and staff. Students interested in exploring the resource are encouraged to contact their instructor. Faculty and staff who would like access can contact the BCIT library for more information here.
