Smith Street, is located at 3700 Willingdon Avenue Burnaby, BC V5G 3H2 on the main campus of the British Columbia Institute of Technology. The road runs for 200 meters through the Factor Four Area. This is the main road that services the buildings in the Factor Four area, as well as a pedestrian route across campus.

Structure/Layout

Originally the road only had a sidewalk only on the North side of the road, and travel on the South side of the road was obstructed by  bins. The Urban Restoration group worked with Campus planning and facilities to relocate the bins and create a pedestrian walkway on the South side of the road which is delineated by planters and paint. The goal is to make this area more pedestrian friendly, and to encourage a sustainable, creative industrial feel reminiscent of Granville Island.
