You will find here more information regarding the Re-Use Wasted Heat Situation Analysis.
Recovering as much heat as practically possible and re-injecting it in the system is key to the Factor Four energy plan. Heat can often be recovered from waste streams that leave buildings e.g. in ventilation air; in wastewater; in flue gases from combustion processes. The premise here is that energy has been used to produce this heat so it should be recovered and re-used whenever economically feasible.
Re-Using Wasted Heat Situation Analysis
As with any situation analysis, the Factor Four Re-Using Wasted Heat Situation Analysis strived to define the current state in relation to the desired future state, to identify opportunities for transitioning toward the desired state, and to identify barriers and challenges that might need to be addressed along the way.
Energy Audits: Energy audits became integral components of the Re-Using Wasted Heat Situation Analysis. Energy audits with varying degrees of detail were completed for the Factor Four Area.
