Kristin Miller presents at the workshop.

Kristin Miller Presenting

On Friday, February 10th, 2012, Richard Register and Kirstin Miller from Ecocity Builders (ecocitybuilders.org) returned to BCIT, following their inaugural visit in 2009. They presented at BCIT’s Burnaby Campus in a School of Construction and the Environment sponsored Lunch and Learn on Ecocities and Education.

The discussion and presentation reflected on progress that had been made since the 2009 Sustainability Charrette, and engaged faculty and staff in the next phase of work. Following the Lunch and Learn the workshop broke into two groups for discussion. Richard Register led one that focused on curricula pertinent to an ecocity education, while Kristin Miller focused on advancing BCIT’s Living Lab concept and the progress being made in the Factor Four Area according to ecocity principles.
