On Monday, nov. 2, 2020, one murder hornet was found at the 7000 block of Bradner Road in Abbotsford. This was the fifth time that we found murder hornets after we found single hornets in White Rock, Nanaimo and Langley in 2019 and 2020.

This could be dangerous for people in B.C., and one Vancouverite, Luca Ballarin, is scared of them.

“Luckily, I haven’t seen them before when I went to White Rock, Langley, and Abbotsford. But, they are very dangerous for people in our province, so I’m very scared of them”

Even though, winter is coming, and it decreases murder hornet activity, the Ministry of Agriculture encourages people to report  sightings of them to the Invasive Species Council of B.C.
