Red Herring to release new Album after 35 years, “The Neon”

During the Covid 19 pandemic, most people have had to stay home in order to stop the virus, many   have had a lot of free time to learn and create something new. In the same way, many music artists also have had a lot of free time because they can’t go on tour, many of them are releasing their singles and their albums during this pandemic.

There are many music bands from Vancouver that will release their singles and their albums during this time and one of them is the band named “Red Herring”

Red Herring is a Vancouver art-rock music band that was formed in 1984 by Enrico Renz, who is the singer-songwriter and guitarist of the band. The band also includes Martin Walton (bassist), Steve Lazin (drummer), Stephen Nikleva (guitarist), Id Guinness (keyboardist), and Tania Gosgnach (backing vocalist). The band won the Shindig award from CITR Radio’s in 1984, and their first EP named “Taste Tests” got critical praise from the Vancouver Sun and the Discorder Magazine in the following year. Therefore, the band is very talented with their art-rock sound.

After 35 years, Red Herring is planning to release their new album named “ the Neon” on November 6th, 2020 which the band said that this album is very exciting because the album is made by the original lineup, and it includes new and older materials that demonstrate the sense of the promise of the band. Moreover, the band also released two singles from this album named “The Brain Song” and “Julia”. Enrico Renz said that the newest single “Julia” is the most romantic song on  album Neon.
