Building Science Centre of Excellence

The Building Science Centre of Excellence (BSCE) delivers an advanced research and educational program in building science for the construction industry. The BSCE promotes an increased understanding of core fundamental physical principles of building operation so that these can be applied in the development of improved building technologies and more sustainable buildings.

The mandate of BSCE is to support the construction industry with outcomes that transcend regional limits as demonstrated by its participation in major international research efforts such as the Annex 41 by the International Energy Agency: Whole Building Heat Air and Moisture Response, and currently Annex 55: Reliability of Energy Efficient Building Retrofitting – Probability Assessment of Performance & Cost (RAP-RETRO).
