We have many different kinds of sites on BCIT Commons. The list below is a manual, partial listing of those sites. Depending on the nature of the content, some site admins (account owners) prefer to keep their content to a closed group. If you are the admin of a Commons site and you would like your site listed here, please let us know.

Want a Commons account?

Please read about what you can, and can't, do with a Commons account, and review the linked institutional policies. You also need to decide whether you want basic hosting, or WordPress pre-installed.

If it still seems like the right solution for you, please contact the Help Desk with "BCIT Commons" in the subject line.

Using WordPress

If you are interested in using WordPress on BCIT Commons, you need to be fairly self-sufficient. Reading our quick theming guide is a good starting place.

Using BitKinex

If you are not using WordPress, you need to know how to upload files to your Commons account. We don't support FTP, so you'll use WebDAV. While it's built-in on a Mac, you'll need a client on Windows. We recommend the free BitKinex client.
