Top 5 Chapter in North America: BCIT Marketing Association wins again

For the second consecutive year, the BCIT Marketing Association (BCITMA) has been recognized as Top 5 Collegiate Chapters in North America by the American Marketing Association (AMA) at the 2022 American Marketing Association International Collegiate in Chicago. BCITMA was selected from 300 post-secondary chapters across North America.

This recognition is a testament to the outstanding accomplishment and leadership of BCIT Marketing students, as well as the invaluable support and mentorship from instructors in the Marketing Management Department at the BCIT School of Business + Media.

The BCIT Marketing Association participated in case competitions at the 2022 American Marketing Association International Collegiate in Chicago

The BCITMA Case Team leads Ljubica Mijailovic and Raeann Anderson and team members Tyler Jiang, Cyan Pheko, Reine Edejer, and Isabel Balagat successfully presented to Amazon Student Prime and placed third out of over 100 competing schools across North America. Congratulations to all participating BCITMA students and instructors, including Tom Jopling, Geoffrey Bird, and Rick Kroetsch.

“As Faculty Advisor, it was my absolute privilege and joy to be there with our students and see them learn and level up in real time,” shares Erica Halvorsen, BCIT Marketing Instructor. “Their focus and effort were inspiring.”

Erica adds, “The American Marketing Association International Collegiate Conference of 2022 was an incredible experience – we learned so much, made many new friends, and we look forward to participating again next year.”

Special thanks to BCITMA Vice President Kim Nguyen who wrote BCITMA chapter plan and report. Also, thanks to President Darian Roberts who helped the case team pivot at the last minute and attend the conference.
