Enjoy the only interactive disco in Vancouver

Who doesn’t love disco? It’s a great way to let loose and have fun, especially if it’s interactive.

Last night I went to Disco Inferno, an interactive disco musical where you’re a part of the show. The show is run by The Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret and the musical is created, directed, and choreographed by Kat Single-Dain. The show follows a storyline between two lovers and when a sports bar tries to take over their club, it either brings them together or breaks them apart.

This a 19+ show, except for Sundays, but it is an incredible time to get out there and bust out your best moves while also enjoying a super engaging play. Throughout the musical, there will be little breaks where the audience comes up and is led through a dance set by one of the performers as well as parts in the play where the audience becomes a part of the show. The performers will often interact with the crowd throughout the play as well. They often talk to the audience in their character and try and get you involved in the show. Some of the performers who worked at the sports bar would pass a basketball to an audience member and make them shoot through a hoop they made with their arms or they would talk to audience members and try to get them on their side. It’s little things like that that make this show so entertaining to go to because they make you a part of the show while also making it super funny and engaging.

They even have a robot who serves you drinks. If that isn’t convincing enough I don’t know what is. Even if you aren’t a great dancer, such as myself, it’s still a great show to go to as there is no judgment on the dance skills that you have. The performers will even help you learn some moves if you want to and they are super supportive while doing so. There’s no shame in how much experience you have as a dancer as the whole point of this show is to forget about all that and just have fun and do some disco.
