Do you enjoy classic cars? If so, Vancouver’s All British Field Meet is the perfect chance to get up close and personal with some timeless wonders.
After a 2 year hiatus, the car show is finally back and is highlighting a time of change with their new theme; the conversion of classic cars to electric.
The show is a celebration of all things British cars, from exotic Aston Martins to rough and tough minis from back in the day. I’m not sure about you, but I would love the chance to see these timeless wonders before its too late!
Dubbed “The Greatest Show on British Wheels,” the VABFM has been taking place in Vancouver on the Victoria Day Long Weekend since 1985! Celebrating its 35th instalment, this years event will feature the Jaguar EType 60th, Triumph Stag 50th and English Fords from 1911! Talk about old.
To celebrate the theme, there will be a “ElectraClassic vehicle display showcasing the combination of classic looks with modern driveability” said event co-chair Patrick Stewart. Expect there to be up to 3 classical vehicles that have been converted to electric, highlighting the changing times.
For 27 years, the car run that went from Vancouver to Whistler following the event and eventually ended in a car display in Whistler’s Creekside, has had to change due to a lack of venue to show off the beautiful rides. Instead, this year the run has been dubbed the Vancouver-Harrison.
With this fresh opportunity of updating the event, the organizers intend to increase the day’s fun factor, including entertainment, a barbecue lunch, as well awards and many prizes.
If you have a classic car or motorcyle and would like to enter into the show, you can do just that, with all entrants being eligible for applicable special prize draws and 1st and 2nd class awards in 62 classes.
