Romantic movies to watch for Valentines Day

Valentine’s Day is coming up this weekend and with limited ways to celebrate outside of your home, here are some movies to watch on Netflix if you are looking for some romance in your life. These guilty pleasure films are perfect if you are feeling forever single or need a surge in your romance.

The Notebook (2004): This is the quintessential romance movie, like you don’t get any more romantic than this movie! With its forbidden romance, a love that spanned over years and years of not speaking to each other and a strong love triangle it has all the cliches of a romance movie, but in a way that feels fresh… or at least like they started these concepts. (Also, nothing will compare to that dramatic kiss in the rain).  If you’re looking to feel all the lovey dovey romance this Valentines Day, then this is the movie for you.

To all the Boys I Loved Before (2018): This Netflix original movie pretty dang close to the Rom-Com peak of movies in the 80’s and 90’s, nothing has felt ever as satisfying since then. It was filmed in and around Vancouver, so keep your eyes peeled for settings you may recognize!

The movie has two fantastic leads, Lana Condor and Noah Centineo where you can actually feel their chemistry and you come out of the movie completely charmed by both of them.  I do have to say the second movie is not nearly as good, but with the third coming out just in time for Valentines Day, I’m open to giving that one a chance.

Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001): I’m not going to lie, I’m very biased about this movie, I grew up watching it and just think it the perfect movie to cozy up to on a winter night (made even more perfect by Valentine’s Day). This movie will not only spark the romance bug in you, but will get you thinking of your career, friends and family as well. Plus everything just seems more romantic when it is set in England.

Have a great Valentines Day folks!
