This Valentine’s season, it should not be about the basic (will get thrown out eventually) stuffed animal or the flowers that only last a week or the little, over priced chocolates boxes (well maybe chocolate boxes they are delicious). It’s time to do something more thoughtful, sincere and really shows how much you care about your partner, but this doesn’t mean it has to be expensive or tacky to show how you feel.

So here are some small and cheap gift ideas for your loved one, after all this day shouldn’t be about presents it should be about spending time with your significant other. 

A Game/ Puzzle: Something small that you guys can do together, it builds problem solving skills as a team and helps develop patience and trust. These gifts can range in price depending on how much you are looking to spend, but you can get some two person games for quite cheap.

Bonus idea- get them a themed board game that goes along with their favourite TV show or movie.

A Framed Photo of the Two of You: This is an incredibly underrated option if you are looking for something cheap and sincere because you are making a physical memory of a time you two spent together. Photos in frames can be unbelievably cheap, printing a picture at a department store costs less than a dollar and you can go as cheap or expensive as you want on the picture frame, but a typical price can be from 5-10$ depending where you go.

Bonus idea- If you have a polaroid printer or know somebody who does, print a few pictures and put them on a hanging picture frame. 

Write them a Love Letter: The ultimate love language and something that just doesn’t happen anymore. Here is where you can pour your heart out and express how much that person means to you, as long as you have a pen and paper at home it is completely free and super romantic.
