  1. Jaws:

Directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 1975 and starring Roy Scheider as Martin Brody, Richard Dreyfuss as Matt Hooper, and Robert Shaw as Quint, this horror movie is really just plain and simple. This horror movie is about a killer shark named Jaws, who is on the loose looking for his next meal, and his next meal isn’t exactly fish food, instead it’s human food unfortunately. This scary looking shark goes around and terrorizes the people of the city know as Amity island, and it’s up to Martin, Matt, and Quint to stop it, so they all hop onto Quint’s boat in order to find and kill this massive shark. I won’t spoil the ending for you, but it’s a great one! And one you should watch for sure, and be sure to not miss the most iconic line ever in a horror movie, when Martin comes face to face with the shark on the boat and slowly backs away into the boat where he meets Quint (the captain of the boat) and saids to him “we are going to need a bigger boat.” It’s a great horror movie all around! So, don’t miss it when you have the chance to see it.

  1. The Shining:

This movie starring Jack Nicholson and released in 1980, is a really creepy one indeed. This movie starts off in a hotel where Jack Torrance (played by Jack Nicholson) is with his wife and son. They are staying at a hotel that has had a very violent past and the longer they stay there, the more isolated they start to become and the more that Jack starts to lose his sanity as well. Then, once Jack have realized what the hotel is actually about, he starts to lose his sanity even more, so much more that he decides to go after his wife and son and try to murder them. This movie is very suspenseful and has one of the most iconic lines in horror movie history as well to, when Jack knocks down half of the bathroom door that his wife is locked behind and trying to keep Jack out, Jack then sticks his face through the open half of the door, and shows us this menacing face before delivering the iconic line that everyone still knows as today as “here’s Johnny!” Again I won’t spoil the ending for you as I haven’t done for most of the movies on this list, but all I can tell you is that it’s a great and very suspenseful, and disturbing and intense movie, it will have you at the edge of your seat, and it even might force you to look away at times because of how disgusting the scenes can get, but all in all it’s an awesome movie, and a must watch as well too!
