The Scream movie franchise will be seeing yet another instalment of the series with a Scream 5 coming to theatres in the year of 2022 and I am so excited about it!! The scream movies are my favourite horror movies. Not only are they classics, but the way they break down how horror movies are made and filmed is really cool too. They break down basically every corner and typical stuff that happens in every horror movie, and on top of that it’s a horror movie of it’s own! They got this mad killer on the loose who dresses up in this ghost face costume who is stalking and trying to kill this girl who is named Sidney Prescott. It’s a really creepy, suspenseful, and intense series as Sidney is trying to survive and defeat ghost face and find out who he or she really is behind the mask.

The worst part, is that it could be anyone and one reoccurrence thing that we see in these types of movies is that most of Sidney friends don’t always end up making it unfortunately, and Sidney starts to lose trust with the people around her, the more that the movie goes on because she keeps on thinking that one of the people who is always around her, is the killer (which is actually true) so she has to figure out who is doing this to her. The first scream movie is and will always be a classic to this day. The second scream movie is really good to, and it’s one of my favourite sequels ever in a horror movie franchise. The third movie however, isn’t really all that good but that’s mostly because the production of that movie was rushed at the time, and they had to have it released on time, but nevertheless it is still part of the franchise and it’s ok I guess, but I wouldn’t call it amazing to be honest.

The fourth movie picked it up again a little bit, and it turn out to be great! I think that the main reason as to why the scream franchise is great is because they have always have stayed with the same original cast members, ever since the franchise began, and I believe that every horror movie should be like this. You know what they say, “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” Just stay with the original cast members all the time, because we get to know them, and it’s hard when other big franchise for example like home alone switch actors as the series grow more and more bigger and more and more better as well too. It just makes us harder to connect with the movies when they keep on adding new staring actors all the time. The way that the scream franchise is able to keep the same actors all the time, really makes the experiences of these movies a whole lot better.

Did you know that Scream 5 was actually never meant to happen, because unfortunately the director of all of the scream movies so far which has been Wes Craven unfortunately passed away in 2015 and the scream franchise was supposed to come to an end with Scream 4. However, new directors such as Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett have came in to fulfill the role of Wes Craven and give the scream fans a Scream 5. I personally believe that no one can do a better job than Wes Craven because he was truly one of, and if not the greatest director ever! And he will be truly missed, Rest in Peace Wes Craven, you were the best director ever! And well will miss you for sure.

I wonder what Scream 5 has in store for us, but whatever it is I’m sure it’s going to be awesome! If you haven’t gotten into the scream franchise yet, I suggest you do. It’s a classic, and once you have finished watching all of the scream movies, be sure to go on to YouTube and search up “everything you didn’t know about Scream.” That way, you will know and get a better feeling about the behind the scenes of scream and what it was really like on set, but this only if you’re a die-hard Scream fan like me, if you’re not then you don’t have to do it, but it’s really cool to see how they make movies like these.

Also, and again this only if you’re a die-hard fan of the series, you can also search up on YouTube some theories about Scream, those are really interesting videos as well too. Also, did you know that Scream also has a tv series to? That’s right, there’s a tv series for Scream as well, and it’s on Netflix right now, but I wouldn’t recommend watching it until you’ve seen all of the original Scream movies first, and that’s including Scream 5 as well too. I will tell you this about the Scream tv series though. It’s a really well-done series and it’s only two seasons long, and it’s really awesome! I started getting into the Scream series back in early high school, and I’ve a been a huge fan of the Scream franchise ever since!

Also, it’s one of the first horror movies that I’ve ever watched in my life, and if I’m being completely honest here, it’s what got me interested in the horror movie universe. The way That the series uses jump scares at the right moment, is awesome and it will keep you on the edge of your seat that’s for sure! For me, in order to get the best feeling of Scream, I would suggest watching it either by yourself or with one other person. If you watch it with a big group of people, it’s not that much fun, when compared to watching it by yourself or with one other person. That is, one suggestion that I will make about watching this type of horror movie.

All in all, the Scream franchise is one of the best horror movie franchises out there! And it’s definitely one of my favourites too and I encourage everyone to try to watch it because it’s really awesome! Especially with the new movie on the way for the series as well too.
