Whistler Writers Festival is sponsored by the Whistler Writers Society. In the festival people share their experience, enjoy reading, listen music and more activities. It since 2002, in the beginning only few authors 20 participants. Right now, it become one of the biggest festivals in Canada. Not only the local author attend, but also there are author from other country. It is a communication platform now.

This year is different than the pass. This year would be hosting online by using Zoom. If you have a laptop, you do not need to register Zoom. All you need to do is click the Zoom meeting link, then you enjoy the festival. It is very convenience all you need just internet no matter wherever you are.

In this year schedule we have workshop that talks about: the benefit of self-publish, is it fits your situation? Consultations for new author like looking for second opinion or marketing. How to pinch your books to the publisher. The ways how to create best story. And the reading you may not want to miss: Opening Night Showcase: New Voices & Social Après, so you can chat with other authors.

When I was a kid, I like reading books because it gives space to imagine a place to enter my own world. I feel relax when I reading books. Reading is not just learning knowledge; it is a process for getting experience. I always think story book is a mirror of author because they would put their experience, feeling, and thought into it. It is like a second life for them.
