BCIT – Summer Field School

In 2022, the Schoolf of Business + Media is offering the Summer Field School programs again.

CST BTech students are eligible to receive field school credits towards the General Education and Management elective requirement.

Austrian and Italy Field School

Dates: June 26 – July 16, 2022

Cities: Vienna, Vicenza, Milan, Bologna, Trieste, and Venice

Company visits: Ludwig Reiter, Lamborghini or Ferrari, Illy Caffe, Ducati, McArthur Glen Outlet, Chiarli Winery, Giorgio Armani, FRAU, Bisazza Mosaico, Fincantieri Yachts, Nonino Distillatori S.r.l, United Nations Information Service (UNIS) Vienna, and Granarolo

Cultural visits: Museum of Applied Arts, Albertina Museum, Belvedere Palace and Museum, The Opera House in Vienna, Andrea Palladio’s Teatro Olimpico and Villas, UNIBO, and wine tasting

Courses: 1. GLBL 5001 – Luxury Marketing and 2. BCST 5035 – Global Storyteller

 

Japan Field School

Dates: July 24 – August 11, 2022

Cities: Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Yokohama and Tokyo

Companies: Daimon Sake Brewery, Kirin Brewery Company, Suntory Yamazaki Distillery, Tower Knives, and Toyota

Cultural visits: Cup Noodles Museum, Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, Japan Mint Museum, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Museum Mejiji-Mura, Nagoya Castle, Umeda Sky Building, and Toyota Municipal Museum of Art

Courses: 1. GLBL 5002 – Business Innovation and 2. GLBL 4010 – Visual Culture of Japan

 

Belgium and the Netherlands Field School

Dates: July 24 – August 6, 2022

Cities: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Ghent, Bruges, and Antwerp

Companies: ING, Heineken, Port of Rotterdam, Gouda Cheese Factory, Neuhaus Chocolatier, Antwerp Diamond Centre, Brewery De Halve Maan, and Plopsa

Cultural visits: Gravensteen Medieval Castle, Historic Centre of Bruges, and Gouda Canals
