This free 5-week group will be particularly valuable for new students who want to make a healthy transition to BCIT.
Each 60-minute session is a combination of instruction, guided practice, group sharing and inquiry that will help you understand basic principles of mindfulness, begin or enrich a personal meditation practice, and bring mindfulness into daily life to help you thrive at BCIT and beyond.
- Week 1: Introduction to Mindfulness
- Week 2: Coming to Our Senses: Mindfulness of the Body
- Week 3: Watching the River Flow: Working with Thoughts
- Week 4: Emotions and Self-Compassion
- Week 5: Relationships and Mindful Living
The next Mindful BCIT group will be held via Zoom from 3-4pm on Wednesdays from Oct 7 – Nov 4, 2020.
