Super Bowl Recap as a Casual

I just feel bad for the Niners last Sunday night.

The Super Bowl 58 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, even if the Niners didn’t win, was one for the ages, and join me on this recap as I take you to my thoughts and feelings throughout the game.

First of all, I want to remind you that I am not a diehard Niners fan. I’m a fan of Christian McCaffrey (CMC), and I am a diehard fan of the New York Jets! Yes, you are right, I am used to suffering. Don’t worry Jets, we’ll get to the playoffs soon!

Anyway, back to normal programming.

At the start of the game, I felt the jitters, because finally my boy CMC, THE BEST RUNNING BACK CURRENTLY IN THE NFL BAR NONE, DON’T @ ME FAM, has a chance of winning the big game, the treasure at the end of the long season rainbow, the one to rule them all, the Super Bowl.

First half was just a weird one. Both teams trying to outclass one another, and also watching CMC with a fumble, just made me cry. For most of the first half it was a defensive battle between both teams that ultimately led to a 10-3 halftime score for the Niners. This meant that the NFL had to quickly think of a new script on how the Chiefs, and the Swifties would win.

But before that, let’s talk about the Super Bowl Halftime Show. The time during the Super Bowl when casuals unite and scrutinize the halftime show artist. This year, it’s Usher.. Usher.. Usher..

Usher’s performance was amazing. The only thing that’s making it mid for now is that he crammed so many hits in a short time. I’m not a hater, I wanted to dance and jam to Usher’s hits like crazy. But I also don’t want to listen to the “intro-chorus” of one song then the next song. I would’ve wanted one of the bigger hits to just relax and let it settle. That’s my only gripe. Don’t @ me.

Second half. Oof. Typical Niners letting teams come back because they can’t do anything going on the offense. Those 3 straight in-and-outs and that missed extra point was indeed the beginning of the end for the Niner gang.

Respect to the Chiefs for ultimately winning it in the end. The script was edited just in time.

NFL can’t do a three-peat can they? Can they!?
