Who to pay attention to in the NBA going forward

NBA fans have been spoiled because of the fact that we have got to witness some of the greatest of all time play the game in our lifetime. That has been headlined by LeBron James. James is undoubtedly one of the best to ever play the game, and some would argue the best. We’ve also got to see players like Kevin Durant who many call the greatest scorer of all time, and Steph Curry who is without a doubt the greatest three-point shooter of all time.

But the three players I mentioned are in their mid to late thirties and are not too far away from retiring. So you may be wondering, what players are gonna be the ones to be the next big things? Well, the league is in great hands right now because there are tons of players who could become or are already the next big thing.

There’s no way you can’t start this conversation without mentioning Luka Doncic. This kid is only 24 years old and has already been in the league for five years and has dominated the league. Doncic has many qualities to become one of the greatest of all time and it’s only a matter of time before he wins an MVP, which I think could be as soon as next season.

Another name to mention is Jayson Tatum. Tatum is only 25 years old and has that winner mentality in him. He is incredibly talented and is on a very good Boston Celtics team. The thing that’s crazy is that he gets better every year and it doesn’t seem like he will stop anytime soon.

There is even a Canadian that could be a force in the league for the foreseeable future. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, or SGA for short, is coming off an incredible season where he was one of the highest scorers averaging 31.4 points per game. He plays for an Oklahoma City Thunder team that is set up so well for the future and they will make a lot of noise moving forward, which will surely be led by SGA.

Zion Williamson is one of the most dominant players in today’s NBA. He is very similar to Shaquile O’Neal who could physically dominate opponents. The only issue with Williamson is that he hasn’t been able to stay healthy. However, if he can find a way to stay on the court, he will continue to be one of the most dominant players in the league and possibly contend for an MVP.

There are so many great young players in today’s game and many more that I didn’t even mention. So although some of the greats we grew up with are starting to retire, the league is in great hands. If you don’t watch the NBA much, now is a great time to get on board and enjoy basketball.
