There are some music artists who absolutely change the music game forever. Artists like Prince and Michael Jackson are a couple of names that come to mind when you think about the most influential music artists of all time. But who is next?

Well, it seems like there are a couple of pretty clear answers who fit a similar mould as Prince and Michael Jackson. And that would be the Weeknd and Bruno Mars. Both these artists have done incredibly well with commercial success and appeal from the mainstream. Even if you don’t like listening to either of these artists, there’s bound to be one song by them that you can’t help but jam to.

The Weeknd makes RnB music that is very different from much of what we hear from everyday pop music. He has this very mysterious vibe to his music and it gives fans a reason to tune in whenever he releases his new stuff. His music is so unique and sometimes toxic, to be honest, but he just has a way to grab the audience’s attention with his phenomenal voice.

Bruno Mars on the other hand is a bit different. His music is often more groovy with elements of jazz and soul. He makes music that the audience will easily jam to whether you like the song or not. He is an incredibly talented artist with a plethora of skills that make him one of the most recognizable artists in music today.

The Weeknd and Bruno Mars are shaping the way the music industry is going into the future as many artists are trying to emulate the success they have achieved. Artists like these two come once in a generation and we should appreciate them while they are still here.

But will they be as big as Prince and Michael Jackson? Well, in my opinion, I think they already are, if not bigger. These four artists have changed a lot in the music industry and how people view music, but with how easy it is to access music nowadays with streaming services at our disposal, it’s not difficult to make the argument that the Weeknd and Bruno Mars have surpassed Prince and Michael Jackson in popularity.

But hey, that’s my opinion.
