Unsigned BC is a non-profit radio show that showcases undiscovered and independent artists from all over BC. The Unsigned BC brand has already played a big factor in BC’s Hip Hop community by giving a platform for talented artists to get discovered.

The show is currently an hour long and plays all Hip Hop tracks, but the founder, Brandon Krupa says they are looking to expand their horizons by playing different types of music on an extended time slot.

“The thing that I’m trying to do, is to expand the show to two hours a week so that we can touch on every genre, we do one hour that’s going to be sort of Pop and Hip Hop and then the other hour is going to be, basically everything else, your country, blues, classical.”

The brand is gaining more attention on social media, accumulating over 3,800 followers on Instagram. The show has received respect from the BC Hip Hop community since they are giving a platform to those who need it. Despite starting in October of 2020, they have already created a community that includes many different styles of Hip Hop music.

Unsigned BC was recently featured on the “All Points West” show by the CBC. They have also just filmed their first showcase that is set to premiere in June and they have a “song of the summer” competition open to submissions now.
