TikTokers are changing small businesses for good

It seems like almost everyone nowadays is using TikTok or are at the very least being shown TikToks by their friends or from their social media feeds. While many use TikToks to make fun little comedy videos for niche audiences, there is a sub-section of TikTok that is doing some phenomenal things. That would be a community of people who are trying to help out smaller businesses.

One of the TikTokers who is spearheading this movement is a man named Keith Lee. Lee lives in Nevada and he often goes to smaller restaurants that his fans recommend to him and then tries the food and gives it an honest review. If the review is good, which it often is, it helps the public learn about these small restaurants. Lee will try a number of menu items and then say what he did or didn’t like and what can be improved on in his opinion.

The thing that’s amazing about Keith Lee’s reviews is that once he makes a review on these restaurants, they can go from having virtually no customers to then being packed with people trying to get food to the point where there are large lineups outside their doors. There have even been instances where Lee has helped businesses that were on the verge of having to close and then have business booming.

There are a few other TikTokers who do this kind of thing and it goes to show one of the great powers that the internet can have. These businesses may still have been having troubling times had these TikTokers not made these videos about their restaurant. While people have had issues with TikTok for various different reasons, instances like this go to show just how users can use platforms like these for good reasons and make a meaningful impact on the community.

You could argue that the recognition of these businesses could go away after a while, but the internet is forever. These videos will always be on the internet and people are bound to go back and find these videos. So although there may be a bit of a dip after the first bit of recognition for these businesses, that recognition is still very helpful in many ways.

There’s a lot of bad on the internet, but sometimes the internet can do good, and in this instance, it shows just how sometimes the internet can be the best.
