Things to do this Halloween week and weekend

This upcoming weekend is Halloween, the climax of spooky szn, and if you are looking for things to do, then this is the article for you. Lots of the events are on until the 31st, or they are one night only, and that night is the 30th which is Saturday. Some of the events that occur on select nights or every night until the 31st are Pitch Black, the Bloodied Corn maze, and the Twisted Pagan Forest at Maan Farms (select nights until October 31), Taste of Yaletown 2021 (until October 31), Steveston Scarecrow Crawl (until October 31), The Haunted Sea: Halloween at the Cannery (until October 31), Vancouver Horror Nights (until October 31), Playland Hallowed Eves (select nights until October 31), Fin-tastic Fall Days at Vancouver Aquarium (now until October 31), Vancouver Horror Show Film Festival (October 27-November 7), and The Empty Chest – haunted adventure (October 26-31).

Of all these events, the ones that sound the best to me are the Steveston Scarecrow Crawl which is free and has dozens of scarecrows spread around the village. The best scarecrow wins a $1,000 prize, and Pitch Black, the Bloodied Corn Maze, and the Twisted Pagan Forest at Maan Farms in Abbotsford, the scariest corn maze in Canada. Full disclosure I am not a fan of horror or scary Halloween stuff, so that I might be interested only in the lame chill things. I would also make sure to check the prices most are reasonable, but The Empty Chest is very expensive with the tickets costing $250 for six people, so unless you have six people who want to go, I would probably miss that event.

The single night events are the Parade of Lost Souls (October 30), “Bad to the Bone” Halloween weekends at Britannia Mine Museum (October 30/31), Vancouver Canucks (October 30), Eric Church (October 29), and The Hunter’s Moon – Haunted House (October 30/31). Of these five events, I would be most inclined to watch the Canucks game on the 30th with Connor McDavid and the Oilers in town on Saturday night, and Halloween games are fun with lots of people dressed up at the game. Nonetheless, there are plenty of options for you to enjoy this Halloween week and weekend. Enjoy!
