The Canadian band we know and love from Kelowna are making their way right into Vancouver later this month, to perform live! Yukon Blonde, who originally started back in 2005, is excited to get together for a stellar performance on October 23rd. They’ve been through over 10 years together producing and performing, but it’s awesome to see them have the ability to play live once again after what the pandemic has done to the music industry and live performance especially. Venues have been closed, dancefloors aching to be torn up, and microphones have been cold for far too long. Debuting with their EP “Everything in Everyway”, Yukon Blonde has captivated fans across the world, not just in Canada. They have received a nomination for the Juno Awards, for the breakthrough group of the year back in 2013. And they’ll be playing their latest album, “Vindicator” on the day of the event! Released in 2020, “Vindicator” is a work of art made to make you feel good, and to allow them to try new things. They broke out from their usual standard and decided to exchange their normal arrangement of instruments for synths and more electronic production. Aiming for a much more danceable album, it’s bound to be a high-energy event! I can only wonder how they’ll be not only playing a fresh style of their own music, but also how they’ll perform with new instruments.
