If you’re down in Gastown, it’s more than worth it to stop by the Guilt & Company, a bar that often hosts live music performances for its customers. They have a show scheduled for just about every day of the week, and they’re open from 4 pm to midnight and have their performances usually lined up around 7 pm onwards. They’ve had performances from a wide range of incredible artists, prioritizing local, Canadian talent. With happy hour from 4 pm to 7 pm, you’re all set to have a great evening here! But onto highlighting the talent, the hot rock groove band Scalawag will be performing today, and they’ve got some really good tunes to bring to the table, along with your drinks. And with their new EP, “Runaway”, I’m sure they’ve been aching to get a chance to rock out live! In the past, the members of Scalawag were but musical acquaintances and would talk during events while they were all there. However in 2002, they decided it was time to form into a unit, and therefore Scalawag was born. They’re releasing a new music video on the 8th, so make sure to stay tuned! Scalawag isn’t letting the world slow them down.

Since Guilt & Company is hosting so many performances, it’s only right to shout out their next live performance as well, which will be Ivan Hartle, a local Vancouverite that specializes in a jazzy, blues feel, with some folk and soul blend in there. He’s been releasing a lot of music over the last years, and is definitely not a performance to miss!
