The Band who was a mainstay on EA Sports video game soundtracks is coming to Vancouver this upcoming Valentines Day. The band from Mississauga will be coming to the PNE Forum on February 14th, 2022, to promote their sixth studio album “Crisis of Faith” which is set to be released this upcoming January.

The group has been together for 28 years and has gained loads of mainstream success throughout their musical journey. Originally, the band was called Pezz and was a mainstay in Toronto’s underground scene up until 2001 when they started to get big. Since that time Billy Talent has had three multi-platinum records and continues to be a big name overseas.

Throughout the early to mid 2000’s the group dominated the Canadian awards scene consistently being nominated, eventually winning seven Juno Awards, and ten Much Music Video Awards.

Their second studio album “Billy Talent II” was recorded at The Warehouse Studio here in Vancouver and featured notable fan favourite songs “Red Flag,” and “Devil in A Midnight Mass.” The Vancouver recorded album was one of the three multi-platinum records the group had, receiving the distinction in Canada and Germany. The album also debuted at #1 on the charts in its debut week in both countries.

In the years since their mainstream success, the band has consistently put out more songs, and has continued to tour throughout Canada, the United States, and in Europe. It has also been noted that since their debut album, their sound and style has consistently changed as each album made its release. A risky move? Maybe so, yet it was one that has worked, since the group has had a constant touring schedule and has frequently released new music that has been well liked.

The Crisis of Faith tour kicks off in Winnipeg on February 7th, 2022, then makes its way to Vancouver on Valentines Day, and will continue for most of the year finishing off in Luxembourg on November 22nd, 2022. The band announced they will be doing the Canadian portion of their tour with PUP, NOBRO, and Rise Against. Unfortunately, it does not look like Rise Against will be apart of the Vancouver show.

Tickets for the Vancouver show go on sale this Friday (October 1st) at 10 am. Head over to the Ticketmaster website to secure yours.
