The recruitment campaign for Fall term peer tutors is now underway. Tutoring is a paid FSA student employee position. The application information is available here, and applications are accepted until April 6. We currently have openings for tutors from CIT (based downtown) and CST (at both BBY and the DTC). For subject tutors we are looking for students who:
- Are registered BCIT students
- Have completed 2+ terms in their program
- Have an overall GPA of 80%+
- Have good communication skills
- Can commit to working at least 2 hours / week.
We also hire writing tutors: students with strong English language and communication skills. The requirements for writing tutors are similar to those above, but there is no requirement of completing 2 terms, and we look for a score of 80%+ in Comms courses.
