Defence Tech Hackathon at UBC – March 7

February 12, 2026 by Michal Dziubek

On March 7th, UBC will host the kickoff event for the national defence tech hackathon to build  “Find My Force” — a secure, intuitive system that allows authorized users to identify, verify, and track platforms in real time, even when systems do not actively communicate, network connectivity is degraded, or platforms operate across domains.

Ten teams will be shortlisted to compete for a $20,000 prize pool (with $10,000 for the top team). It’s one of the most dynamic and fast-paced defence hackathons of the year — a chance to build, demo, and win in a single day.

The Details:

  • Application Link:  www.redteamhack.ca
  • March 7th, UBC Civil and Mechanical Engineering Building (CEME)
  • Ten teams selected (apply as a team of 4–5 or individually to be placed on one)
  • $20,000 prize pool
  • Build, demo, and win – all in one Saturday

Applications are open until February 20th – feel free to APPLY and SHARE with everyone who would be a great fit.
