Game Design Challenge

March 14, 2025 by Michal Dziubek

Life.Love. Game Design Challenge is an annual competition that encourages game designers, developers, and creative thinkers to design prosocial video games aimed at improving the lives of young people.  Hosted every year as part of our Gaming Against Violence non-profit initiative.

This year’s theme is Communication—a crucial topic in preventing violence and promoting healthy relationships among adolescents. The competition provides a platform for people to use their creativity to tackle significant societal issues through gaming. There are up prizes, expert critiques, and opportunities for professional growth. We believe this challenge aligns well with the innovative spirit of your students and would be an excellent opportunity for them to contribute to the important conversation about communication and violence prevention.

The contest has two rounds:

  • Round 1: Submit a game pitch by March 24, 2025.
  • Round 2: Finalists will develop their games and submit them by mid-July.

Finalists will receive access to an exclusive publisher’s Discord, professional critiques from a panel of experts, and up to $10,000 USD in prize money. Winning games will also be published online!
