In 2016, 15 students from Fish, Wildlife and Recreation, Forest and Natural Areas Management, Ecological Restoration, Geomatics, and Architectural Science created a development plan and a site design for a 2-hectare parcel of land. The students faced various economical, environmental and social concerns, and had the opportunity to work with and learn from a the Katzie First Nation community. Traditional knowledge and perspective, blended with western science and method, provided a valuable case study for dialogue between these two approaches.
