No stranger to academia, Dan was an instructor in BCIT School of Business + Media for more than 10 years teaching Media Law, Writing for the Media, and Advanced Journalism. He is also a BCIT alum in the Broadcast Journalism program and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from McGill University, a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a Juris Doctor from the Allard School of Law at UBC.

In his spare time, Dan referees’ youth soccer in Vancouver, especially now that he can no longer coach his own kids, Annie and Joe, both of whom are at university. Dan and his wife Brenda also play second-fiddle to a five-year-old Berne doodle named Janey Mac, who doesn’t much care for soccer but loves chasing squirrels and long walks in the woods.

Congratulations Dan!
