Interim President Paul McCullough of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) issued the following statement on the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada and head of the Commonwealth:
The BCIT community is saddened by the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty’s passing marks the end of an extraordinary era and the dawn of a new age. The Queen’s endearing spirit and legacy will live on across the Commonwealth, Canada, and British Columbia. Our thoughts are with all members of The Royal Family. On behalf of BCIT, I offer my condolences.
