BCITSA Leadership Conference Invite

BCIT Student Association is hosting its 2020 leadership conference, IxL – Inspire by Leadership – to be held at the BCIT Burnaby Campus on Saturday, March 7, 2020. We are reaching out to invite students, staff and faculty to take part in this impactful event.

This is a full day of keynote speakers, panel discussions, and hands-on practice sessions to provide BCIT members with an opportunity to learn directly from influential industry professionals about how to become impactful leaders in their field.

This is the third year this annual conference is held. We are inviting 250 students, staff, faculty and industry professionals to advance their understanding and skills to become impactful leaders in our community. Registration is free for BCIT members.

Security Professionals Conference 2020: College Student Ambassador Opportunity (Apply by February 7)

The EDUCAUSE 2020 Security Professionals Conference program committee is looking for 12 college students interested in pursuing a career in information security/cybersecurity or privacy to attend this year’s event at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington (April 21–23, 2020).

Interested individuals can apply for this Student Ambassador program here. The submission deadline is Friday, February 7, 2020. Students who are selected will be notified via email no later than February 18, 2020.

Students accepted into the Student Ambassador program will receive free admission to the 2020 Security Conference. This complimentary full conference registration provided by EDUCAUSE covers event entry, break refreshments, as well as breakfast and lunch both days, but does NOT include admission to the preconference workshops offered on Tuesday, April 21. Eligibility requirements and student ambassador responsibilities are available here.

Forensic Specialist-Development-Toxicology job opening

The RCMP Forensic Lab Services has an opening for a “Forensic Specialist-Development-Toxicology” based out of Ottawa, Ontario. The primary responsibility is the successful completion of training in forensic science services. Under supervision or as part of a team, gathers information, organizes and analyzes forensic data (specimens), applies scientific techniques and provides results to supervisor, scientists or colleagues for review and feedback.
