Can Black Panther 2 Find Success Without Chadwick Boseman?

The new Black Panther movie is set to hit theatres Friday November 11th but will be missing the original Black Panther Chadwick Boseman from the film. Chadwick Boseman tragically passed away from cancer leaving behind a legacy that will last a life time and cementing himself as the one and only Black Panther that kids all around the world look up too.

So without Chadwick in this film many fans are wondering how Marvel have decided to take this storyline. Marvel studios has confirmed that the death of Chadwick Boseman will be directly addressed in the new movie as his character T’Challa will be killed off. But without the Black Panther that fans know and love in the film, fans were left puzzled at first as to how this storyline would continue.

This idea was met with lots of hesitancy at first as it was argued that Chadwick Boseman can not be replaced. That’s not what this idea is trying to do though, and Marvel isn’t shying away from Chadwick Boseman being the true black panther, they are simply introducing this new Black Panther as someone who is carrying on the legacy of Chadwick.

 

It will be interesting to see the direction this movie takes and if fans are happy with the job Marvel does to pay tribute to Boseman. If done right this movie has a easy track for success in the box office, but if not met with great initial reviews, Marvel could have a very tough time winning the fans back after this movie.

Logan Paul Can Wrestle!

While Logan Paul may not have won the WWE championship this past Saturday, he did win over the fans in the WWE universe with his amazing performance.

Going into this match many people expected Logan to win (including myself) but many fans weren’t expecting Logan to be able to keep up with the wrestling abilities and talents of Roman Reigns (including myself again).

 

Logan showed up to prove the haters wrong though and was a superstar in the ring, showcasing a volume of attacks, multiple high risk maneuvers, and even a spot where he stood on the top rope and jumped off, putting Roman Reigns through the table.

Now its no secret to the public that WWE is fake. After the match though Logan revealed online that he suffered a torn meniscus, MCL, and potentially ACL during the match. For him to continue the match even under these conditions makes his performance that much more impressive.

The big question on everyone’s mind now is what’s next for Logan? Most fans were under the impression that Logans time in the WWE wouldn’t have any real permanence attached to it. However, after his performance the fans online have seemed to agree Logan would be a great permanent addition to the WWE roster. Logan will have to take some time to heal but I think I speak for all WWE fans when I say that we want him back in the ring again soon against the likes of Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, and maybe even the beast Brock Lesnar.

Why Was Nicholas Latifi Cut From The F1 Grid?

Canadian Formula 1 driver Nicholas Latifi has been cut from the Formula 1 grid next year.

Nicholas Latifis time in Formula 1 was truly tragic and embarrassing for him as a driver. Out preformed by his teammates every single year, losing to Nick De Vries in De Vries first ever F1 race, and crashing in the final race of the 2021 season leading to the series of events that cost Lewis Hamilton his record breaking 8th world championship. These are just some of the reasons Williams decided to drop him as a driver for the 2023 season.

The move would probably have happened years earlier if it weren’t for the amount of money Latifis rich dad brought to the to the Williams team that was having financial issues. Now that Williams received new owners and proper funding though Latifi was almost instantly cut out of the team.

 

Latifi had lots of promise as a driver winning 3 of his first 5 races in Formula 2 and coming 2nd in the final F2 standings. Its really unclear how he dropped so far off in performances over the past couple years though.

 

So what’s next for the Canadian driver? From what Latifi says, a move to Indycar is most likely as a next step for him.

Should Alice In Don’t Worry Darling Be Worried?

Don’t worry darling was released today for at home viewers and was a blockbuster hit due to the intriguing trailers, beautiful cinematography, and the high drama surrounding the films actors. All that aside though don’t worry darlings actual plot was pretty well done with a big plot twist at the end.

(SPOILERS AHEAD)

 

This movie ends leaving the viewer unsure of what’s happened to Alice and wondering if she has been able to escape the simulation her husband Jack has trapped her in or not. The audience online seems split 50/50 as to if Alice made it out or not. However, I’m a firm believer that Alice was able to escape the simulation.

 

When Alice places her hands on the door that will help her escape the first time, a visual plays in her mind that seems a lot like a hypnosis lulling her into a deep sleep. When the full visual is over though it then replays again this time in opposite order as if rewinding itself and reverting the hypnosis back. Alice wakes up in her bed still in the simulation and confused. When Alice places her hand on the doors the second time when the movie ends and you hear a deep breath come from Alice just as the screen fades to black and the visual is over, without reversing this time.

 

They way I interpret this is that when Alice placed her hands on the door and tried to escape for the first time someone was their on the outside world to play the hypnosis again (presumably Jack) and put her back into the simulation, hence why it played twice just in different order. When she was able to place her hands on the door the second time Jack is now dead and would not be able to stop her/play the hypnosis again.

 

Therefore, I believe Alice was able to make it out of the simulation and escape back to the real world. However, maybe that just the optimist in me! Leave a comment below on what you think happened!

This movie follows a basketball scout who has had a stream of bad luck coming across a Spanish superstar. The two work together and against all odds try and make it to the NBA. This movie is inspirational and shows how far handwork and dedication to your craft can take you.

  1. Coach Carter: Coach Carter is a compelling story that moved the hearts of many, as a new basketball coach shows up and demands his students to be just as good at school as they are basketball, transforming a lot of their life’s for the better.

  1. Safety: this true story is a movie about a young man looking to play football in college. However, struggles at home make this tough for him and hes forced to move his little brother in to his dorm with him. This brings on a whole new set of challenges including almost getting his chance to play football taken away. This movie tugs on the heart strings as it shows how people can come together as a community.

  1. Rocky: this movie is without a doubt the most well known sports movie of all time. Rocky is a fighter who has gotten a few good pro wins but shows no signs of being anything really special. He is hand picked by the world heavyweight champion as a warm up fight. Rocky has the training camp of a life time though and is able to take the heavyweight champion to his absolute limit. Watch this movie if you need some motivation to conquer life.

  1. Ford VS Ferrari: racing movies are some of the best sports movies out there, but this one takes the cake and is criminally underrated. Ken Miles is a talented racing driver and veteran with a bit of an attitude problem. However, Ford desperately want to beat Ferrari so they enlist the help of Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby. This true story is thrilling, entertaining, and the best sports movie ever made.

Visit Gastown This Weekend!

Gastown is without a doubt the best place in the lower mainland to experience the atmosphere that Vancouver is all about.

Gastown is Vancouvers oldest neighbourhood and was founded all the way back in 1867 by John Deighton better known as “Gassy Jack”. Gastown is popular amongst tourists and locals alike due to its rich historical atmosphere that blends modern day culture throughout its streets as well.

 

If you’re planning on visiting Gastown for a day trip, you wont be disappointed as you can spend the earlier parts of the day shopping, exploring history exhibits, and sightseeing. Then at night you can spend your time eating at one of gastown many restaurants.

 

In todays culture many people describe that they are looking for a “vibe” to explore over weekend adventures with friends. Gastown will provide you that, and many Instagram and photo worthy opportunities throughout its streets. Photos can be taken at the famous antique style steam clock, the gassy Jack statue, or Walter street, which is the core of Gastown that gets lit up at night.

Logan Paul Will Be The New WWE Champion!

Logan Paul has a real shot at beating Roman Reigns for the WWE championship tomorrow night at the WWE Crown Jewel pay per view!

So far Logan Paul is undefeated in the WWE, beating the Mysterio’s at Wrestlemania, the Miz at Summerslam and now after just two fights he gets a shot for the WWE title tomorrow night. Many think that this title shot is coming too soon for Logan and that hes going to lose the match against the champion Roman Reigns.

 

However, theirs been trouble in paradise in Roman Reigns faction the Uces, as his teammate Jey has been wavering in his alliance as of late. The introduction of Sami Zayn into the faction has caused nothing but troubles for them and Jey feels as though hes on the outs.

I would bet the house on Jey Uso turning on his faction and helping Logan Paul secure the WWE championship Saturday night. This would give Logan the record for least WWE matches ever to win a championship.

Nascar Driver Pulls Out Video Game Move In Real LIfe

When Ross Chastain found himself in 10th place entering the final turn of the final qualifying race, he knew he needed to do something drastic if he wanted to get the 5th place finish he needed to qualify for the top 4 race of the season.

 

And so Ross Chastain pulled off the most memorable move in Nascar history.

Ross crashed his car right into the wall creating an open line that no other driver would even dare to go for, allowing him to speed his way around 5 cars in the span of one turn. This had never been seen before in Nascar.

 

Ross said that he had been thinking about that move long before he pulled it off though;

 

“I played a lot of Nascar 2005 on the GameCube growing up, and you could get away with it. I never knew if it would actually work. I did that when I was 8 years old.”

 

Ross had asked his engineer going into the last lap how many people he would have to pass to qualify for the illustrious top 4 race. When told that he would need to make some moves, Ross grabbed 5th gear down the straight, sent his car right into the wall and in his words “full committed.”

The final four of the season will now consist of Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, Christopher Bell, and of course, Ross Chastain.

Titans Clash Tonight In A Epic Jiu Jitsu Super Fight

Filip Matos is one of the best Jiu Jitsu competitors and coaches in all of B.C. And has proved time and time again that he has what it takes to win big tournaments. He’s won the BCJJF black belt championship, the B.C Absolute title, the Ohana championship at black belt, and much more titles throughout his career. While winning all these titles, hes opened up his own gym called Roll Jiu Jitsu Academy and coached a successful competition team to multiple team titles at local tournaments.

However, tonight he faces quite possibly one of his toughest challenges to date Harrison Woods. Harrison is a 18 year old Jiu Jitsu competitor who has already won two IBJJF world titles at purple belt, the Gi pro division at ALL VS ALL championships, the battle grappling 170 pound title, and many more tournaments. Harrison is widely regarded as the best up and coming fighter not just in B.C but the entire world!

When it was announced that these two competitors would be facing off in a match up the whole local Jiu Jitsu scene started to talk and speculate about who would win this clash of titans tonight! Harrison Woods has been the much more active fighter and has youth on his side, but Filip is much more experienced and has a advantage in the Gi.

 

This match up will be a technical masterpiece to watch for Jiu Jitsu enthusiasts and a great first introduction to Jiu Jitsu if you’ve never watched before!

Kevin Bieksa Returns To The Canucks!

Kevin Bieksa is a legend of the Canucks and now will end his career as a Vancouver Canuck.

The team signed Bieksa to a contract last night that allowed him to join a team practice before the game, and officially retire as a Vancouver Canuck. Bieksa’s time as a Canuck certainly was a memorable one as he played on the legendary 2011 team alongside the Sedin twins, Alexandre Burrows, Ryan Kesler, and many more legends of the team. His career with the Canucks lasted 10 years.

 

In what can be assumed Kevins last time in the Canucks locker room he decided to pass along some words of wisdom to the up and coming team;

“The best time of my career was being a Vancouver Canuck, and being in this dressing room.” Said Bieksa. “The most proud thing I am is the culture that I helped build in this room.”

 

Bieksa then went on to explain to the team that what helped build that culture was hard work and dedication to the craft. Bieksa explained the importance of putting in the extra hours.

 

Bieksa’s speech was straight out of a movie and could be the reason the Canucks won 8-5 in last nights game with Andrey Kuzmenko scoring his first ever NHL hat trick.

 

Bieksa’s future on the ice is over but his career as a motivation speaker could be just beginning.
