Sami Zayn Needs Kevin Owens Help!

Sami Zayn wants to finally take down the Bloodline once and for all. To do so though he’ll need the help from his fellow Canadian wrestler and former best friend Kevin Owens.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have a very rich history dating back all the way to their days in Ring Of Honour (ROH). The two became a tag team in ROH due to their similar Canadian up bringing. The pair were a very dominant tag team and beloved by fans.

The tag team ended though when Kevin Ownes betrayed Sami leading to a one year feud between the two. The feud carried over to NXT and then eventually the WWE. Fans would chant “fight forever” when these two men would go at it. Eventually the pair went their separate ways and Sami joined the Bloodline while Owens had a successful singles career.

The pair would meet again though when the Bloodline faced off against Kevin Owens in multiple different matches. The Bloodline put Sami to the test during this feud by making Sami attack his former best friend on multiple occasions. Sami finally snapped though and betrayed the bloodline to help out Kevin Owens.

Owens returned the favour by helping Sami at the Elimination Chamber but Owens still hasn’t fully forgiven Sami. Sami begged Owens to work with him to defeat the bloodline last night on Monday Night RAW. Owens refused though saying if Sami needs help he should just ask his buddy Jey. Owens is of course referring to Jey Uso. You can read about Jey Usos part in the bloodline here:

What’s Going On With Jey?

Time will tell if Sami and Owens can put their long history aside and work together as a team to finally take down the Bloodline.

Canadian F1 Drivers Accident-What Does It Mean For Aston Martin?

Canadian Formula One (F1) driver Lance Stroll was in a unfortunate accident on his bike while training for the up coming F1 season.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Co49NNJNaD1/?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ=

While details of the accident are still scarce it has been revealed that Lance is okay and recovering well. Sadly though Lance will miss pre-season testing this year which will be a big hit for Lance and the team.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Co47zgPtyzH/?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ=

Pre-season testing is set for Bahrain from February 23rd-25th. This test is very important for the teams and drivers to see how their cars are performing and how the drivers different and unique driving styles work with the newly developed cars.

This is especially crucial for a team like Aston Martin who is closer to the back of the grid then the front. Cars closer to the back end of the grid are usually much harder to drive and get used to then cars at the front of the grid. Lance said himself that sometimes the car is a piece sh*t to drive. You can watch that interview here:

Therefore it’s important that Lance finds the time in pre-season to learn how to control his new car and how he needs to adjust his driving style to accommodate the cars new tweaks.

Lance won’t have his opportunity this time around though and instead the team will be letting Felipe Drugovich take the car for a spin this weekend.

Luckily Lances recovery timeline should put him on track to participate in the first F1 race of the season in Bahrain on March 20th.

Let’s hope Lance has a speedy recovery!

The Coquitlam Express Battle Back!

The Coquitlam Express mounted a awesome comeback tonight!

The Express were ranked #4 in the Coast and the Grizzlies were ranked #6 in the Coast coming into this match. The Express were looking to cap off their epic road trip

https://www.instagram.com/p/Co3UZbMMIw2/?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ=

The game didn’t start out as planned though as the Express went down three goals in just the first period. Things weren’t looking good for the team that just managed to clinch a playoff spot the night before.

The Express battled back though in the second and third period. Mateo Dixon scored two goals short handed and Mirko Buttazzoni scored early in the third to tie the game!

The teams exchanged goals in overtime until Mateo Dixon scored his third goal of the night to win the game! Mateo was player of the game for two games in a row on this road trip.

This concludes the teams very successful trip to the island. The Express return home to play the Langley Rivermen on Friday night.

Thatcher Demko Could Be Set For A Return Soon!

Thatcher Demko could be set to make his return to the Vancouver Canucks soon.

The Canucks main goalie has been out with injury since December 1st. It’s still unclear when Demko will return but head coach Rick Tocchet says it could be sooner rather then later. Tocchet announced that Demko skated for the first time in a long time today.

With Demko getting better the team decided to bring him on their road trip. Rick Tocchet said the team has also made the decision to bring Collin Delia and Arturs Silvos on the trip.

The Canucks goalie situation has been less then ideal this year.

While Demko was healthy he had a 3-10-2 record. Collin Delia has a better record going 6-3-1. Arturs Silvos is 1-1 with the team and is not ready to be in the NHL yet. The young goalie got called up halfway through the season and has only played 2 games in the NHL so far. He has potential but needs time.

Hopefully Demko can get back to his 2020 playoff ways when he’s back from injury. The Canucks have been looking good on all other ends of the ice so the goalie situation could be the last piece of the puzzle for the Canucks.

The Canucks play the Predators Tuesday night on the road.

White Caps End Preseason On A High!

The Vancouver White Caps FC finished their impressive preseason on a high yesterday with a dominant performance over Minnesota United FC.

The White Caps scored twice in the second half as central midfielder Julian Gressel scored from close range and Ryan Gauld hit a hard strike from the 18-yard box.

That was all the action the game saw with a final score of 2-0 for the White Caps.

The White Caps have spent the last three weeks in Southern California and will finally be headed back to Vancouver today. The team doesn’t get much time to rest though. In just two days the team will enter training camp for a week in preparation for the 2023 MLS season.

Its expected to be a tight season between most of the teams in the MLS this year but the Whitecaps have a good chance to win some important games this year.

Their first game of the season will be against Western Conference rivals Real Salt Lake.

That match takes place February 25th at BC Place.

Red Bull Canada Is Crazy!

Red Bull Canada Is Insane.

Red Bull is well known as a brand due to their crazy branding techniques. They specialize in extreme sports and post clips of things like crazy biking tricks, racing events, innovative workouts and more!

Red Bull Canada is a whole different animal though.

Red Bull Canada focuses more on Canadian related sports. They keep the same theme of crazy, fast, and innovative clips but increase the fear factor by an insane amount.

Red Bull Canada also focuses more on a storytelling element. They told the story of Will Gadd who climbed frozen Niagara Falls. They share the incredible journey of Dane Jackson who kayaks down waterfalls. They share insane clips of Tom Oehler mountain biking down a literal frozen mountain.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/CoxCQP0gbCJ/?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ=

All of these feats are insanely scary for any normal human and Red Bull Canada posts their clips like it’s just another average day for them. That’s what makes the clips so engaging, mind blowing, and scary to watch all at the same time and that’s why Red Bull Canada is far superior to Red Bulls regular Instagram account.

Coquitlam Express Clinch A Playoff Spot!

The BCHL Coquitlam Express clinched a playoff spot last night with their 4-1 win against the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/Co2YBG1JJ9v/?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ=

The game started out slow with the Capitals getting the only goal of the period.

The Express fought back in the second period though as Mirko Buttazzoni scored to tie the game 1-1 heading into the third.

The Express ran away with it in the third period as Mateo Dixon, scored for the Express early. Ray Hamlin followed up with a goal shortly after on the power play and Blake Setter would put one more in the net for good measure after the Capitals pulled their goalie. Final score 4-1 for the Express.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Co1SVhEtfFW/?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ=

This win has secured the Express a playoff spot in the Fred Cup tournament. This tournament will be tough for the Express as the Penticton Vees, Cranbrook Bucks, and Nanaimo Clippers all look very promising.

The Express have had a great season though so an upset win could be on the table for them.

The Express have one more game on the road today against the Grizzlies before they head back home.

Canadian Superstar Will Fight For A Title Once Again!

Canadian World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar Edge accepts Austin Theory’s United States Championship open challenge.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/Co3BALtpqtn/?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ=

Edge is a WWE legend and has been in the company for twenty five years now. He’s done it all in his time with the company, winning the WWE championship four times, winning the World Heavyweight championship seven times, and becoming a twelve time tag team champion.

It’s been a long time since Edge has held a title though. Edge retired as the World Heavyweight Champion back in 2011 due to severe neck issues that sidelined him for nearly nine years. Since Edge came back in 2020 he has failed to re capture a title.

Edge will get his chance Monday night though against U.S Champion Austin Theory. Austin Theory has held on to the U.S championship for quite some time now and has built a gimmick around his hate for John Cena. Because of this he has implemented his own version of the John Cena open challenge, where he will invite competitors down to the ring to challenge him for his belt.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/Co21o-UJrmf/?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ=

Edge has already stated that he will be the one to accept the challenge on Monday Night RAW. He says that Austin Theory could use a good beating and Edge is more then happy to be the one that delivers that for him.

This will be a exciting match up. Tune in Monday night to see if Edge can finally reclaim WWE gold!
