Vancouver is known for its beautiful landscapes, and many people love hiking here, but today I’m here to show you a program for people who like something more peaceful and cozy and not so adventurous. Candlelight is back here in Vancouver and is making some of the city’s most iconic places even more beautiful than they already are. All this while in a sea of candles, lots of music, and lots of magic.
This is the kind of experience that, the moment you arrive at the location, you feel like you’re entering a movie scene. A space filled with hundreds of lit candles, which creates that cozy space with a soft glow. As soon as the musicians enter, the magic begins, and from one moment to the next, your night goes from an ordinary night to a night you will never forget.
You must be wondering: “What kind of music plays in a place like this?”, well, I’ll tell you, this show has music for all tastes. They are always adding new shows and are full of new things, but at the moment, some of the most popular are the tributes to Queen, Beatles, The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Hans Zimmer, Coldplay, and now at the end of the year they also have some Christmas specials and much more.
What makes this experience more interesting is that even those who are not big fans of classical music will enjoy it. The arrangements are beautiful, you immerse yourself in the moment and with each song you fall more in love with that show. Besides, being able to listen to music that we like so much in the form of classical music, listening to it played on violin, piano, cello, string quartet is priceless.
As I mentioned at the beginning, the places for these shows are iconic and beautiful places, here in Vancouver there are 3 places and you can see which one is closest to you, there is the Christ Church Cathedral; the Historic Theatre, The Cultch and Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church. Not to mention that these shows are beautiful places to take photos, capture the moment, and obviously, the perfect program for a date, a girls’ night out, or maybe even a special solo night just the two of you. I confess I would love to receive a show like that as a gift.
And let me tell you something, Candlelight is more accessible than you might imagine. You might think an experience like this would cost over $100, but prices range from $40 to $70, depending on the day of the week, the location, and the musical. And here’s another tip: they have many Black Friday promotions.
