Coming off the backs of a NBA Finals appearance things were looking up for the Mavs, but in a shock move the Mavs ended up trading away the man who took them all the way to the finals in Luka Dončić for Anthony Davis. Mavericks fans were not happy about this trade as protests were held outside of there arena and fire Nico (there general manager) chants were heard on multiple occasions in Dallas. Fans hope they can turn this franchise around again as they get a re do with another generational talent.
