Whitecaps Loses Playoff To Los Angeles

Well this news is honestly really sad to hear. The Vancouver Whitecaps have lost their 3rd game against Los Angeles 1-0. Let’s take a look at this game and see what happened on Friday Nov. 8th.

Now during the beginning of the first half the Whitecaps came out strong with them looking to take the goals whenever the opportunities presented themselves. After they came off the win with their second game against LA 3-0, The Whitecaps were determined to follow up this win with slick plays, great maneuvers and teamwork as well as the tactics that gave them the win last game. On the other side, Its clear that LA really was prepared for Game 3 and it really shows that is the case.

LA really sharpened up their defence with multiple blocks from the ball going in the net, many slick steals of the ball and how focused they were. An example of this is in the clip above where Brian White was set in on goal but was blocked by the goalie Hugo Lloris who was very prepared for the shot. When the second half began, LA really came out swinging and responded back to the Whitecaps with an energy that surpassed theirs from the first quarter. This allowed them to score their one goal with Mateusz Bogusz making the shot and securing the win for LA.

While the Whitecaps did put up a great fight, LA clearly was prepared to answer any play the Whitecaps had with their own tricks and plays which allowed them to move forward to face the Seattle Sounders in the next round.

Unfortunately, This means the Whitecaps season ends here. Honestly, I’d personally say they had a good season overall with their biggest highlights this season being 5-0 win against the Portland Timbers thanks to Ryan Gauld which will go down in team history as an epic postseason performance by the team and their 2nd game win against LA 3-0. However, There is always next season where the Whitecaps can bring home the win. They proved to have many things working for them this year in their matches but need to do better with executing and following through on some of them.

Overall the Whitecaps did good and was able to show their skills as a team once again even though they lost. However, I believe with what went on this season they can definitely do as good if not better next year and maybe take home the win.
