Christmas Music Shows!

Tis the season! I know it’s still early but it’s officially time to get your Christmas plans in order and get into the season and what better way to do so then with some Christmas music events. I don’t know about you but I love Christmas music, it gets me into the spirit and ready to celebrate the holidays so let’s look at some upcoming Christmas music events to get you into the holiday spirit!

Merry & Bright

On November 30th at the Shaughnessy Heights United Church, they are hosting A Winters’ Night – Christmas Concert. It will be a night of Christmas music with a special appearance from the Burnaby School district handbell choir! This will be an evening of both traditional Christmas classics as well as newer songs to start your December season off on the right foot. https://allevents.in/vancouver/a-winters-night-christmas-concert/200027331014644

To kick off December on the 1st at 2:00 pm, Christmas With The Bach Choir is being hosted at the Orpheum. This program will feature The Vancouver Bach Choir and the Children’s Bach Choirs with seasonal music and even an audience carol singalong. Something about listening to children’s choirs around Christmas always makes me feel so nostalgic and puts me in the Christmas spirit. https://vancouverbachchoir.com/events/cwbc24/

Enjoy a night of Christmas musical theatre at the Massey Theatre in New Westminster! Buddy’s Holly Jolly Christmas will be put on on December 7th at 7:30 pm and Zachary Stevenson will be leading this hit musical. You can enjoy the music and live show accompanied by The Lovettes. It will be a great night for all ages to bring on your Christmas Cheer. https://www.masseytheatre.com/event/buddys-holly-jolly-christmas-2/

Throughout the month of December the Vancouver Symphony will be putting on their show Traditional Christmas all over the Vancouver area. Stretching from North Vancouver to South Delta they will be bringing classical Christmas music to you with your favourite carols and even some special guest soloists! Christopher Gaze will be the host for the show guiding the night and helping you get into the spirit. https://www.vancouversymphony.ca/event/traditional-christmas/

As I get older I always find it more difficult to get into the Christmas spirit, with final exams and work I feel as if December just slips away so fast and then we are already in the new year. So this year I know I will be putting in the extra effort to get out to these events so that I’m all ready for the big day and in the Christmas spirit this year.
