Happy Tuesday!
Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s can be a bit boring in my opinion. It’s the start and middle of the week and with the time change and it getting darker earlier you may be getting tempted to just climb into your bed after work but I’m here to make it fun and keep the good vibes rolling through dreary November. So if your Tuesday and Wednesday night plans are looking a little bit bleak, hopefully I’m able to get some plans in motion for you!
Tonight at the Rickshaw Theatre “DEHD” will be performing. Coming from Chicago, Illinois this three piece indie, alternative, rock band will be taking the stage bringing you a night of entertainment. In all honesty, prior to writing this I had no idea who these guys were and had never heard them before, but I did some digging and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised! Doors for this event open at 7:00 and tickets are $25. Unfortunately, I do have work tonight, but if for some reason I get called off I’m definitely heading down to the Rickshaw. I’ll link some of my favourite songs I listened to below.
Tonight 21 year old OsamaSon from South Carolina will be playing at the Hollywood Theatre for his “Wish You Were Here” tour. You can expect a hip hop performance for this one so if that is your vibe you should go check this one out! I always really enjoy checking out younger artists and I always think how crazy it is that the artist is close to my age. Seeing the new and upcoming generation of artists is always a super cool opportunity because you never know, maybe one day they will blow up and become huge and you can look back and say “hey I got to see them live at the Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver”!
If it’s been awhile since you’ve seen a rock show and you’re looking to catch one tomorrow at the Pearl, Nervy will be rocking the stage on their first ever North American tour! This one would be a super interesting one to go see because this band actually is from Ukraine! I always think listening and experiencing music in a different language is so cool so if you are looking to broaden your music taste – check this one out! https://nervyconcerts.com/ I was listening to a couple of songs today and even though I can’t understand them it’s still a great powerful rock band with a lot of energy so I’d imagine the concert would be pretty lively.
Don’t let the chilly rainy Vancouver weather get you down this week, get out there and listen to some live music, there is no better cure.
