Do you love discovering artists before they make it big, before they are worldwide stars and household names. You should head down to the Commodore Ballroom tonight and check out the next rising star in the music industry.
Griff is a 23 year old singer-songwriter from England. She released he debut single, Mirror Talk, in 2019 and it was met with great reviews. Two years later, she was named the Rising Star at the 2021 Brit Awards, becoming one of the youngest winners in the category at 20. Later that year, she released her debut mixtape, One Foot in Front of the Other. The mixtape was met with even more rave reviews and Griff started to gain some traction and global recognition.
Earlier this year, in July, she released her debut studio album titled Vertigo. While the album is still very new, it is definitely a hit with songs like Vertigo and Miss Me Too already over 15 million plays on Spotify alone. If you are a fan of strong lyrics with even stronger beats in the background, then you will enjoy Griff‘s music. She reminds me of Olivia Rodrigo, no shade to Olivia, however I actually find myself grooving to Griff‘s music. Her songs are very powerful, and just make you want to sing and dance along.
Griff is only increasing her popularity with the tour she is currently on. She has 18 shows over the course of the next 30 days of October. Kicking it off tonight at the Commodore Ballroom, she goes on to do 17 more shows across the United States, before heading back to England to continue the tour there.
If you are a fan of strong and powerful lyrics, then you should head out to The Commodore Ballroom, tonight and check out Griff live.
While writing this article I listened to the entire Vertigo album, and I did not skip a single song. Griff has a passion music, thats for sure, and it shows in the quality of her music.
Tickets start at only $53, which is an absolute steal. Doors open at 7pm, but be ready to go all night as the show is sure to go past midnight.
Griff does not seem to be slowing down any time soon, and I could see her becoming the next Taylor Swift. I honestly think that she is that good. Don’t miss this opportunity to see her live before she takes over the world and ticket prices jump in price.
