Halloween is creeping in next week and how are you preparing for this spooky holiday?

Do you like to dress up or hang out with friends and have a good time?

I know my classmates are planning something special this weekend and some of them are going costume shopping later this afternoon. I think I overheard something about a hotdog costume or milk cow costume. But anyway, a common costume of choice for Halloween is wearing a mask. Masks of different shapes and colours and material, fun and spooky.

There is a Canadian EDM artist, producer and vocalist that likes to wear a cool mask in his performances. You can join Sickick this Friday, October 27th at Enso Event Centre in Vancouver for his EDM concert.

Sickick began his musical career as Lomaticc, the lead singer of the music group Culture Shock. It was kind of a shock for his fans when he suddenly disappeared. But then he made a comeback a few years later with his EDM remixes, mashups and original music. Sickick has over 4.23 million subscribers on YouTube, 1.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, 3 million followers on Tiktok and 108k followers on Soundcloud.

This is Sickick’s performance “Talking to the Moon”, where he remixes the song originally by Bruno Mars. He uses his music controllers to mix the tracks and also sings to add his own style into the song.

This is really appealing to me, and I really enjoy the creativity of remixes. I don’t know why but it is so easy to nod or tap to the beat and you just get pulled into it. It is also really cool to see it happening before your eyes, you see him pressing the buttons and turning the knobs as he mixes the music.

Sickick’s songs get millions of streams from people all around the world. He performs around the globe at many different music festivals as a DJ. He also has official merchandise that he sells on his website. If you like his style, you can get hoodies, phone cases and masks.

Join Sickick this spooky Halloween season on Friday, October 27th at Enso Event Centre on Pacific Boulevard in Vancouver. Important to note that this event is for people 19 years old and older with valid Government ID. The doors will open at 10:00pm. The concert will be until 4:00am in the morning. That’s six hours of music!
