A HUGE band is heading to VAN

I hope you love alternative and indie rock music because you’re in the wrong place if you don’t! Here at Evolution 107.9, we just so happen to love that kind of music, and that’s why we play it on our radio station 24/7. It’s the kind of music that is light, fun, entertaining, and, believe it or not, sometimes very inspirational.

Being able to connect with music isn’t always easy, but once you can relate to a song or a band, it seems to become more memorable, impactful, and meaningful. I’ve listened to my fair share of alternative music over the past year that I have been at BCIT and have enjoyed the music that we play. It’s a goal of a band to connect its music to its listeners through songs and lyrics, but it never hurts to put on shows and events for fans to come out and support their idols.

This takes a love for a band or singer to another level when they go from listening to them to being able to see them and share their admiration with others who love their music, too.

Fans from all areas of our city and beyond will gather at BC Place on Friday, September 22, and Saturday, September 23, to greet the world-renowned British rock band Coldplay. The group, consisting of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion, hasn’t played in Vancouver in over a decade.

Despite the absence of the band’s presence, Coldplay has always had a special connection to Vancouver. The band has put on unforgettable concerts in the city over the years, and the city’s breathtaking landscapes and friendly atmosphere always make them feel at home.

It appears that tickets for their two shows in Vancouver are already sold out! After looking at the list of their remaining shows on their tour, only one show still has tickets available in early February next year. It’s good to know that Coldplay is still alive and well in people’s hearts worldwide.

The crowd inside BC Place will be buzzing once their favourite band hits the stage, and fans of all ages will likely sing their hearts out! BC Place will light up with the soft glow of cell phone flashlights, creating a breathtaking sea of stars like it has many times before.

Fans will leave the stadium and enter the city’s night air filled with excited chatter as they disperse into the city streets, their hearts still resonating with the music and the memories of that unforgettable evening. Hopefully, you are lucky enough to have a seat inside the venue!

Their song “Fix You” is my absolute fave! Check out this sick video from the band performing the song in concert!

I couldn’t find a ticket, but I hope you enjoy the show if you are lucky enough to get a seat!
