Their live performances are also a sight to behold. All members of The Ruffled Feathers bring their skill and passion. And the way they experiment and take risks with their arrangements is inspiring.

Their latest album, “Bottom of the Blue,” is a masterpiece that showcases the band’s growth and evolution as artists. Every song in the album is just so beautifully crafted and unique. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to songs that have painted just a clear picture in my mind. My favorite song from the album has to be “Bottom of the River”. The song almost feels like an audio drama. The banging of chains acts as a base beat but is paired with a plethora of other distinct sounds. Plus, outstanding vocals feel so raw and add a whole different layer to the song. “Bottom of the River” isn’t just a song, it’s an auditory experience. I highly recommend that you treat yourself and give the song a try. Anyways their other songs follow suit and have carefully crafted tracks. It just shows the thought and care that’s put into the band’s musicianship. Along with their willingness to experiment and take risks with their arrangements.

Lots of bands tend to sound similar and use more technologically focused beats to their songs. That’s not bad by any means but sometimes we crave something new and different. That’s where The Ruffled Feathers come in. They’re like a breath of fresh air to the music scene. I love how they take risks and push the boundaries of what can be created. Their dedication to being unique is what makes them stand out in the indie-folk scene. They’ve a band that deserves recognition for their creativity and innovation.

If you’re want to add some indie-folk to your life, then The Ruffled Feathers have you covered. Their music is refreshing to see in the BC music scene. They’re definitely worth checking out and obsessing over. Their music pushes the boundaries and is so delectable and unique. Plus, their live shows are something you need to experience before it’s too late.
