Pre-season testing is set for Bahrain from February 23rd-25th. This test is very important for the teams and drivers to see how their cars are performing and how the drivers different and unique driving styles work with the newly developed cars.

This is especially crucial for a team like Aston Martin who is closer to the back of the grid then the front. Cars closer to the back end of the grid are usually much harder to drive and get used to then cars at the front of the grid. Lance said himself that sometimes the car is a piece sh*t to drive. You can watch that interview here:

Therefore it’s important that Lance finds the time in pre-season to learn how to control his new car and how he needs to adjust his driving style to accommodate the cars new tweaks.

Lance won’t have his opportunity this time around though and instead the team will be letting Felipe Drugovich take the car for a spin this weekend.

Luckily Lances recovery timeline should put him on track to participate in the first F1 race of the season in Bahrain on March 20th.

Let’s hope Lance has a speedy recovery!
