Thatcher Demko could be set to make his return to the Vancouver Canucks soon.
The Canucks main goalie has been out with injury since December 1st. It’s still unclear when Demko will return but head coach Rick Tocchet says it could be sooner rather then later. Tocchet announced that Demko skated for the first time in a long time today.
"Today was definitely the best that I've felt…I was making a lot of reactionary saves, desperation saves. All that is good for the rehab."

With Demko getting better the team decided to bring him on their road trip. Rick Tocchet said the team has also made the decision to bring Collin Delia and Arturs Silvos on the trip.
Rick Tocchet says Thatcher Demko skated today (although he wasn’t a practice participant) and will go on the trip with the #Canucks. Delia and Silovs will both be on trip too. @Sportsnet650

The Canucks goalie situation has been less then ideal this year.
While Demko was healthy he had a 3-10-2 record. Collin Delia has a better record going 6-3-1. Arturs Silvos is 1-1 with the team and is not ready to be in the NHL yet. The young goalie got called up halfway through the season and has only played 2 games in the NHL so far. He has potential but needs time.
Hopefully Demko can get back to his 2020 playoff ways when he’s back from injury. The Canucks have been looking good on all other ends of the ice so the goalie situation could be the last piece of the puzzle for the Canucks.
The Canucks play the Predators Tuesday night on the road.
