Another Bad Night For Canucks

The Canucks lost yet another game last night keeping their record of the only team in the league yet to win a game after losing 2-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes. Both goals for the Canucks were scored by JT Miller.

This loss can yet again be summed up to not being able to show up in the third period. Team captain Bo Horvat states that this is frustrating and unacceptable as a team. Meanwhile head coach Bruce Boudreau says his team seems “afraid to win” at times.

However, the Canucks bad record cant only be summed up by their inability to close in the third as Quinn Hughes, Travis Dermott and Tucker Poolman are all out with injuries, ruining the teams defence. It seems as though this team can’t catch a break in any areas.

The cherry on the cake is that the team president of hockey ops Jim Rutherford indicated the team “may very well be in rebuild.” The problem with considering a rebuild at this moment for the Canucks is that the team is not currently built around a rebuild after trading away future prospects to the Arizona Coyotes last year, signing JT Miller to an 8 year contract, and signing Conor Garland to a 5 year extension.

However, there is no denying that something big needs to change within this organization wether that be yet again hiring a new coach or trading their negative team captain.
