NHL suspends Jeannot After The Boeser Incident

As a follow up to the last article on Boeser receiving a dirty blow by Tanner Jeannot, The NHL has released that Jeannot will be receiving some consequences for what he did.

If you’re just hearing about this then I’ll give you the story on what happened. On November. 7th the Canucks were going up against the Los Angeles Kings and during this game Brock Boeser suffered an injury during the beginning of the first period. This injury was from LA Kings player Tanner Jeannot who hit Boeser in the head aggressively. From what the clip above shows after Boeser passed the puck to his teammate, Jeannot came up on his left and aggressively shoved him onto the ice where Boeser and received a blow to his head in the process. After this, Boeser collapsed on the ice in severe pain and was quickly escorted off of the ice to receive medical help for his injury. It was later revealed by Patrik Allvin and Rick Tocchet that he had suffered an upper body injury because of this.

After evaluation from the Refrees, Jeannot got a match penalty for an illegal check to the head and was pulled off the ice for the rest of the game and rightfully so if you ask me.

However, Another update on the situation was released a day later the NHL Board. In the update, The NHL has handed out a three-game suspension to the Los Angeles Kings player, who delivered an illegal check to Boeser’s head in the beginning of the first period from last nights game. In my opinion Jeannot desevered that as that blow to the head could have led to something worse. If you saw when Boeser got hit fell on the ice, he fell in the way of Andre Lee’s left skate who lifted his foot just in time and prevented what could have ended in a fatal collision for Boeser.

But some other people in the community are divided on this suspension given to Jeannot. None of which however being on how he didn’t deserve to be suspended. But instead on how Jeannot’s suspension deserves to be longer to some saying that he should be removed from the season entirely. Which looking at the reasons people gave, it’s understandable for the people saying the suspension deserving to be longer. What do you think about all this?
